Sharing is Caring

Our first community game swap is this week and I am so excited! Y’all, I’m the kind of game nerd who goes to game conventions and, while I do buy games, I adore just looking at all the games, whether I know them or not. I’m the kind of game nerd who backed 65 new games on Kickstarter in 2020—listen, it was a rough year, I could have had much worse habits. I’m the kind of game nerd who has to restrain herself from just ordering games when they’ve got gorgeous components, whether or not they’re any good. Anyway, I’m excited to see what y’all bring in to swap with each other and with the bar—because we’ve got a big pile of stuff to trade out!

I adore finding new games, sharing ones I love with other people, loaning out other ones I love so people get as excited about them as I do. To be honest, I like sharing lots of things—DVDs, books, food, my inner thoughts… It just feels more fun and more like we’re together in this life, you know? Why keep what I have and love to myself? I’ve heard it said, “You keep what you have by giving it away.” We do better as a city, as a country, as a species, when we are generous rather than selfish.

What do you share with the people around you? How does it make you feel? I hope we’ll see you at our community game swap on Saturday—it’s got a $5 ticket, but that will go towards food and drink and then you can change up your collection and ours! Let’s get excited!

Play Wilmot’s Warehouse

Wilmot’s Warehouse is a quirky game that turns weird storytelling into a fun challenge. Your job is to organize a warehouse full of oddly shaped and colorful items, keeping track where they are so you can find them quickly when orders come in. How you arrange everything is up to you and your team - by color, theme, or chaos! It’s the perfect game for memory/matching puzzle lovers who enjoy thinking outside the (warehouse) box. It’s a cooperative game—players win or lose together—so it’s an excellent game to work together on!

Try our Quesadilla

Pico de gallo and mexican cheese blend melted in a toasty tortilla and served with chipotle sour cream. Add house-made brisket or grilled chicken for even more deliciousness.

Play a couple of rounds of Wilmot’s Warehouse and share a quesadilla with friends!
